Summary Plans schedules supervises and coordinates all activities related to the manufacture of truss components specialty products etc including quality control delivery of goods and other support functions. Responsible for productivity and quality management. Recommends equipment upgrades staffing adjustments process modifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees all work activities and personnel of the assigned area. Safety training and safety enforcement for all Truss Plant Assembly personnel Supervises employees engaged in short and medium cycle machine operations. Examples machine tools saws conveyors pumps motors etc. Maintains and performs general troubleshooting of all equipment and machinery. Supervises and ensures adherence to company and department policies and procedures performs personnel management duties including hiring training completing employee counseling etc. Monitors all costs and inventory levels. Timely completion of work orders to customers Ensures excellent customer relations and satisfactory services are provided. Compiles data and prepares various reports. Completes various reports and maintains records as needed. Assists with inventory and purchasing functions as required. Ability to set up and build any type of truss without lasers with lasers or by programming computer software. Extensive knowledge of banding and stacking finish goods. Performs other related duties as necessary. Qualifications Requirements Energetic forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Strong analytical and cognitive skills. Commitment to company values. Education Training Experience High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Two (2) years supervisory experience in building materials industry with an emphasis in component production and assembly or related field preferred Ability to possess lift truck license and understands the importance of safety. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually exceeds average levels.
