A reconsideration of vocational (Booker T Washington-style) educ

A vocational education of the crafts and trades would ve provided for more entrepreneurs and independent businessman as an economic base for a community than a primary liberal education that stresses abstractions with no practical use except as different hoops to jump through as an EMPLOYEE for an other if a professional degree and license is achieved. Thus a vocational education supplemented by liberal arts study for social context I see as preferable to the present Core Curriculum that stresses abstract liberal arts with coincidental vocational training
