DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is intended to be illustrative rather than complete and serves to show major duties and responsibilities of a teacher. The employee will be required to perform any other duties as deemed appropriate by the school leader. -Coordinate and monitor ECHS student learning plans -Provide instruction and academic support to support the students in the Early College model -Conduct long and short-term planning to address the individual needs of students -Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of state learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth in the charter -Co-plan and co-teach STEM based interdisciplinary units of study with other teachers and University faculty -Prepare students for all state and school assessments - Evaluate student progress and prepare reports as needed - Provide an inviting exciting innovative project-based learning environment - Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management - Work collaboratively with other staff - Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development activities - Attend meetings and other activities as determined by the school leader -Participate in 5-6 week Annual Summer Bridge Program for freshmen and sophomore students QUALIFICATIONS -Possess or is eligible for a Delaware state teaching certificate for assigned instruction responsibilities NOTE Educators who hold multiple certifications may be given preference (i.e. Special Education ESOL ELL dual content certifications ELA Social Studies or Math Science). -3-6 years teaching experience preferred - Bachelor s degree or higher - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills - Understanding of curriculum and methods of instruction - Experience in test evaluation and measurements of achievement - Record of success with diverse children including those with special needs - Knowledge and proven ability in positive behavior management - Ability to work well with parents and community members - Ability to work effectively as a team member - Skilled in the use of technology for instruction and for personal productivity such as internet email and Microsoft Office Products - Capable of implementing policy and procedures - Ability to analyze and interpret data and willingness to be held accountable for student results Apply Here s apply.joindelawareschools.org ats job_board_frame REPRESENTATIVE_COMPANY_ID OA002037& COMPANY_ID WA000183
