If you are experienced working in the customer service environment (hospitality retail etc.) where Customer Engagement was essential- this is the job for you. ODS is searching for someone with working experience in customer service & associated training. You will be out front with customers and employees to provide a visible security presence while creating a pleasant experience for customers. We are hiring for a Customer Engagement Officer.Basic Job Responsibilities Proactively patrol the property as instructed. Provide a highly visible security presence to help deter criminal activity and violation of the client s Code of Conduct and act promptly to address unacceptable behavior. Seek opportunities to interact with customers and be friendly helpful and attentive to enhance their experience at the property. While on patrol be alert and identify potential safety hazards mitigate found hazards and notify the client of conditions of concern. Monitor customer and associates behavior and stay in touch with store associates store management and District Loss Prevention Manager as appropriate. Engage with associates on theft and safety concerns. Assist customers as appropriate. Officer is not to apprehend any shoplifting suspects or detain them in any way. Attend store meetings. Record Activities in the Daily Log Report (DLR) (customer assistance accident avoidance safety violations lost and found compactor doors alarms EAS lane hawk larceny attempted product recovery deterred theft). Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Neat and professional appearance. Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.
