This Desa model HA1210 temperature adjustable (40 to 90 degrees) external thermostat works with all sizes and brands of oil-fired portable forced-air heaters some auto-igniting propane heaters and wood stove blower motors. Also works with a heat lamp. It plugs into any standard 120 Volt outlet (no installation required). Then just plug your heater into it (piggy back style) and it cycles your heater on and off at your preselected temperature using a capillary sensor for faster reaction time than a bimetallic strip.
