A Bullier Original Etching by Jean-Louis Forain

This is an original etching in black ink on wove paper by Impressionist artist Jean-Louis Forain. Signed in the plate lower right this etching shows two fashionable women on their way to a popular dance hall named Bal Bullier. From Forain s earlier period the plate was created in ca 1880-90. Reference Alicia Craig Faxon Jean-Louis Forain A Catalogue Raisonne of the Prints 1982. Frame Size 17 inches H x 14 inches W (43.2 cm x 35.6 cm). Framed in a pewter finish frame with red highlights and double-matted in beige and charcoal acid-free matting. Completed with a UV-resistant acrylic cover.
