Martin Electric Ltd has been servicing the needs of domestic commercial and industrial clients in the Lower Mainland for over 10 years.Our company provides electrical solutions to a range of commercial and residential clients.We require a journeyman electrician for ongoing work in our expanding company.The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include Read and interpret drawings circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system following installation replacement or repair Liaising with builders foremen and project managers during contract works Dealing with a wide range of people in all levels of the building sub-contracting industry Install replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches relays and circuit breaker panels Splice join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system following installation replacement or repair Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment signaling devices and heating and cooling systems Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. The successful candidate will possess Experience across a broad range of systems Be committed and self-motivated with very good organizational skills Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations A High school diploma as well as have completed a four to five year apprenticeship programme Trade certification for construction electricians is preferable This position includes uniform and mobile phone. The successful applicant will enjoy working to deadlines be focused be passionate about their work and have the ability to work under pressure when needed.
