A six-week educational course designed to provide you with the tools you need to take care of yourself. It was designed for caregivers such as those who look after an elderly parent or sick loved one and might feel stressed or confused about how to properly care for these people. Through this program caregivers will learn to -Reduce stress-Improve self-confidence-Better communicate their feelings-Balance their life-Increase ability to make tough decisions-Locate helpful resources The program consists of six 2.5 hour class sessions held weekly. Pre-registration is required. There is a 25 cost for the course although the full cost is covered for members with Blue Cross Blue Shield or Independent Health in Western New York.
