Sowerby Blue Milk Glass Basketweave Plate w Peacock Mark.Antique

Sowerby BLUE Milk Glass Basketweave Plate Pierced Lattice Lace Rim.British.Hand Made Light Blue Opaque Milk Glass bySowerby This is Victorian it was created about 1876 by Sowerby in Gatshead England. The bottom is marked with the Sowerby Peacock. You can see it on the bottom of the plate. It is in the center. It is approximately 8.5 inches across. It is in excellent condition... the way it was made. It does have some small surface bubbles - which is common for that time period. I did not notice any repairs or pressure cracks. The color is a light blue. It is not aqua as it shows in one picture. I was trying to show the marking so I had to adjust the lighting the result was an inaccurate color depiction in that one photo. I am by no means an expert on milk glass. Having said that please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions I will do my very best to answer them. I am selling this plate on Bonanza at www.bonanza.com booths wacathook and on Etsy at s www.etsy.com shop atmemorylane The price is 51.99 plus shipping.
