This Cedar Chest was made by my Grandfather in the early 1950 s and is a full size Chest on casters The cedar lining is 1 4 thick through out and in perfect condition. The top closes evenly and seals perfectly. There are 3 long hinges to support the top. A single utilitarian handle on each end of the Chest allows it to be easily moved with a simple pull.. It is finished in Early Red Paint that is still in excellent condition with only a few minor blemishes. There is no clasp or locking mechanism but one could easily be installed. This chest is guaranteed to preserve indefinitely any thing that is put into it and keep out everything else...particularly bugs spiders moths. As solid as the day it was fashioned and as functional too.
