Piano Lessons

I am an experienced musician having studied piano and clarinet for over 20 years I studied music at Augustana College and have over 13 year experiences playing in a variety of musical ensembles and recitals. I remain active in music today as a member of the Southwest Community Concert Band as well as a piano accompanist for junior high and high school students participating in solo contest. I have over 7 years of private teaching experience a majority of which is with children ages 5 but I welcome all ages who are willing to learn I was classically trained and successfully completed the Suzuki Piano Method series but have experience playing a variety of genres and encourage students to learn using a diversified repertoire. My comprehensive teaching approach includes a variety of skills and activities including playing sight reading music theory music history etc. The curriculum is individually developed based on the needs goals of the student. I offer a fair rate of 20 half hour and have some availability on weekday evenings. Lessons take place at my home in Bolingbrook parents are encouraged to attend and maintain an active role in the process.
