Position Summary This position assembles machines equipment and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce a close fit between parts. Drills taps or reams holes. Aligns components and bolts and screws or rivets them together. Installs moving parts such as shafts levers or bearings and works them to test free movement. Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems. Aligns and meeshes gears in gearbox to assembly system of gears. Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product. Prepares production sheets and other reports as required. Ability to read and understand job aids and work instructions. Keeps all work areas clean and orderly according to 6S standards. Utilizes pneumatic and hand tools to assist with building product. Responsible for quality of product and materials on paint line as required. Reads and interprets engineering drawings to support production. Safely handles hanging product and materials on paint line as required. Utilizes measurement equipment while building product as required. Material handling duties as required kitting product and transporting materials etc. Performs final assembly and testing of product against required specifications. Keeps their supervisor apprised of issues related to daily performance. Maintains discipline and a safe working environment.
