My mother passed away in April 2011 and I am having to clean out her house and sell EVERYTHING to pay her bills I found this antique Labor Birthing Chair in her front Living Room. It is solid wood not sure what type and measures 28 tall and 18 1 2 at the widest part. My parents lived in Germany in the late 50 s and bought alot of European antiques back with them when my father was transferred back to US.
