I have a Master s degree in Special Education with a specialization in Educational Therapy. For over 15 years I have remediated reading problems for many children and teens. I have been trained in the Lindamood-Bell programs Seeing Stars LIPS and Visualizing & Verbalizing. I ve also received training in the Wilson reading program. I am not beholden to one particular method however as I individualize instruction to the particular learning style of your child. I use a multisensory approach which is particularly effective for children with dyslexia. I aim to make learning fun to keep students motivated. I also address weaknesses in writing spelling fluency comprehension issues vocabulary and grammar. Excellent references available on request.
