Our client is a well established Major Canadian Bank looking for Back Office Administration ( Banking payment & Wire transfer) Location Burlington Ontario Duration 8 months contract position with strong possibility of extension.Note Business Hours 7 30am 7pm ( rotating Shifts) -This position will be required to work Canadian holidays and assume US Statutory Holiday scheduleBusiness Unit Wholesale Banking Products Operations- Payment OperationsSome of the key services Payment Operations offers are Payments in Canadian dollars US dollars and Sundry Foreign currencies (ie EUR GBP CHF etc. ) Investigation follow-up and problem resolution supporting cash management services (GTM) Corporate Retail and other Bank Relationship management inquiries. Direct Access for corporate clients Real time risking with accounting systems (CBDS and MECH Alltel and Moneynet) Settlement Liquidity risk control for CAD dollar exchanges with Canadian Banks (LVTS)Responsibilities Background System payment routing including management of SWIFT and FED information Minimizing risk Client Profile setup and modifications as well as analysis of information presented within specified guidelines Provide recommendations to internal business partners and peers to support the completion of a process or activity within established procedures Provide input and analysis into the continuous improvement of business processes and procedures within the scope of the work team and participate in the planning testing and implementation of projects and new revised products services or processes Provide on-the-job assistance and training to others as requestedKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS a) Knowledge Must have strong Technical aptitude Good working knowledge of the MS Suite of products specifically Word Excel and PowerPoint A web-based background would be considered an asset A working knowledge of LiveLink messaging system would be considered an asset University degree college diploma. 2-3 years of related experience.
