JOB DESCRIPTION Merchandise Planner will report directly to Head of Scheduling and is expected to proactively contribute to the evolution of the Liquidation Channel s brand by demonstrating passion and support for the sales of the company. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze sales data research pricing and costing vs. benefit comparisons Perform exploratory data mining statistical analysis and data interpretation of sales data for the president Monitor supply and demand changing trends economic indications and competitors and accordingly optimized a variety of product line offerings Develop a high level value chain framework for the show planning department analyze individual processes identify gaps and re-engineer them to increase operational efficiency Prepare review and approve schedule for merchandise to be sold on air Supervise prepare and ensure that schedule is prepared and delivered in a timely manner for prepping and picking Analyze scheduled shows for their performance Inventory management of assigned categories Coordinate with production department on planning of shows Analyze shows with hosts and producers before and after the shows Help in marketing and promotion up to 10% of the time Analyze data processing requirements to plan data processing system capabilities required for projected workloads Give feedback and business user s requirements to IT department for software enhancement and development of new software utilities Provide support training and education for business application to all the team members. Assist in resolving customer service issues Perform any other tasks as required by the merchandising team SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE Strong knowledge of colored gemstones and diamonds Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse international clientele Personable enthusiastic ambitious team-oriented Ability to adjust and refocus in a dynamic and ever-changing environment Action-oriented entrepreneurial self-started who can take limited direction and produce tangible results Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis experience judgment and wisdom EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
