This is a 12 Month contract position with a strong possibility of an extension. SUMMARY The Support Analyst Portfolio Accounting and Investment Management processes and reconciles investment management transactions communicates and acts on various corporate actions maintains investment models and provides assistance to various stakeholders of the Investment Management system. The role also involves User Acceptance Testing of changes to systems and documenting processes and procedures. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Must Haves Knowledge of and experience with securities including Corporate Actions and Entitlements Good working knowledge of Investment Management Portfolio Accounting and Portfolio Management systems Previous service or Help Desk experience Previous reconciliation experience Ability to apply logical thinking to situationsNice to Have Experience with SS& C Pacer system Experience with Charles River system Knowledge Good working knowledge of Discretionary Investment Management and the Investment Management in general Knowledgeable about corporate actions and entitlements on securities Knowledgeable about investment management portfolio accounting systems (e.g. SS& C Pacer Global Plus) Canadian Securities Course desirable Enrollment in operational designation or CFA desirable Experience in systems and release implementations Good working knowledge of Investment operations Good working knowledge of custodial operations University degree or college diploma Investment operations experience Experience in problem resolution Experience in the client support Skills Above average computer skills including Windows word Excel & PowerPoint Organized and be able to work in a multi-dimensional work environment Independent with strong negotiation skills Strong communication skills both oral and written. Investment Management system User Support (20%) ACCOUNTABILITIES Investment Management Portfolio Accounting and Reconciliation Make sure transactions are processed from Book of Record system to Portfolio Accounting system. Make sure transactions are processed from custodian to Portfolio Accounting system Make sure transactions are processed from Portfolio Management and Trading system to Portfolio Accounting system and vice versa where applicable Reprocess rejected transactions after researching and addressing the cause of the rejects Review reconciliation reports investigate issues and arrange fixes for any differences Process periodic system functions to create output for Business purposes Interface with Technology group for assistance due to technical problems Document test cases and test changes to systems as necessary Document process and procedure changes 2. Interpreting Communicating and Posting Corporate Actions Receive corporate action notices from other groups Research corporate actions from other sources and determine impact to clients and business users Communicate relevant corporate actions to business users Post Corporate Actions to model accounts consistent with client account posting and internal direction 3.
