My client is a well-established Major Bank located in Toronto ON. They are looking for a Project Manager (AML Project Control) This is a 6 Month contract position with a strong possibility of an extension. AML Group - FIU remediation program - Addressing AML guidelines and developing process enhancements - Enterprise wideDuties and Responsibilities - 9 projects - Meeting with PMs information gathering sessions (to identify actions for process enhancements - Weekly basis creating 2 PP slide decks project and status updates on respective projects and programs (information from info gathering sessions) - 1.) First deck updates on projects and programs online Dashboards updating dashboards from respective managers - 2.) Second deck more geared towards a business perspective for the operating committee numbers and metrics. - Reporting Deck (once a month) for the CEO will work with the person who is gathering drawing the metrics - Meetings taking minutes and following-up on actions ensuring that these are addressed. - Contributing to steering committees ideas solutions and resolutions. Requirements - Urgency and ability to operate under tight deadlines - Crisis management - Need someone polished and professional operating at a high level executive stakeholders - Needs someone who can operate at a granular level - Needs to be able to anticipate understand the level of details - FI Banking experience is preferred - Experience work at the UN reasoning manager has experience working with PCOs in this organization have had the communication competencies the manager is looking for. - AML is an asset - Need to have excellent writing skills and verbal communication concise - Advanced PowerPoint - MS Project - SharePoint is an asset - Risk and issue management Summary Responsible for supporting the effective management and control of Non IT projects by acting in various roles such as team leader project coordinator and project administrator on small to large projects. Under the direction of a Project Manager or Program Manager the Project Coordinator acts principally in the areas of Project Planning Project Monitoring and Control and Integrated Project Management. The Project Coordinator acts as the point of escalation on administrative matters. Job Responsibilities Supports Project Managers and PMO Heads in the effective management and control of projects principally in the areas of project planning project monitoring and control and integrated project management. Manages assigned aspects of the project lifecycle and works with relevant project stakeholders as directed by the project manager. Track resources across different job disciplines ensure appropriate security controls are in place for staff joining and or leaving the project. Assists in managing validating financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures. Assists in the planning preparation and maintenance of project team schedules documents work plan updates maintains project issues logs and databases. Escalates early warning signs and deviations from the plan to the project manager. Assists the project manager in developing project artifacts including charter integrated plan resource plan contingency plan and related PM artifacts while complying with applicable enterprise standards(e.g. Risk Audit Compliance). Supports the project manager in monitoring and controlling project activities including risk issues status communication planning and execution. Proposes recommendations and adjustments and publishes periodic project status reports. Creates operating committee and working group programme and project status presentation decks. Maintains project documentation repositories. Assists in the daily management of external vendors to ensure receipt of specific resources and materials. Performs various project administration tasks including coordinating meetings taking meeting minutes forwarding communication releases and performing maintenance of project tracking logs (i.e. issues change control etc.) . Represents the interests of the project or program in various project governance and inter-department forums. . Develops strategies to appropriately mitigate risks. Ensures risks assumptions and constraints are appropriately communicated and escalated when necessary. Proposes recommendations and adjustments to the overall project manager (or Accountable Executive as applicable) and publishes periodic project status reports. Contributes to improve the best practices of the project management community within the Enterprise to help drive consistency transparency and execution excellence on projects Skills Exhibits self-confidence in dealing with or escalating project issues. Displays good teamwork skills. Displays flexibility resilience and resourcefulness in addressing project issues with guidance and coaching. Good written and verbal communication skill. Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Understanding of core project management skills . Good knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Clarity MS Project SharePoint repositories Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) if applicable)Education Experience Understanding of PM concepts related to cost schedule risk issue and status tracking and monitoring. Industry-specific AML knowledge and experience is an asset. Relationship management and consulting skills. Ability to navigate a matrixed organization effectively. Stakeholder management and influencing skills effective at the executive level. Good business and technical acumen. Good presentation written and verbal communication skills which bring clarity and precision at various decision-making meetings. Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK (i.e. Project Management Institute s PM Body Of Knowledge). Possesses a university degree and or 2- 4 years relevant work experience.
