Park Laborer The City of Menasha is accepting applications for a full-time Park Laborer. This is a manual labor position responsible for all aspects of the maintenance and operations of the Department of Parks Forestry and Cemeteries. Primary duties include a variety of manual and semi-skilled park forestry and cemetery maintenance tasks and related work. Minimum Requirements Qualifications of Position High school diploma or equivalent and at least one to three years work experience in park maintenance arboriculture horticulture or related comparable landscape grounds keeping setting. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including but not limited to mowers sweepers pickup trucks tractors snow plows chain saws and other power tools. Ability to operate construction equipment including but limited to backhoe dump truck skid steer and front end loaders. Working knowledge of the practices and principles of Park maintenance including but not limited to turf care cleaning of shelter and restrooms athletic facilities and playground equipment. Working knowledge of the practices and principles of construction including but not limited to carpentry masonry hardscape. Working knowledge of the practices and principles of Arboriculture Forestry including but not limited to tree identification planting and pruning procedures. Have or be able to obtain within three months of the date of hire a valid Wisconsin CDL Class B Commercial Driver s License with the N endorsement and good driving record which meets the legal and medical requirements of the CDL. Starting rate is 19.11 per hour with advancement to 23.88 with an excellent fringe benefit package.
