ITS Analyst III-Epic (Instructional designer)

Job Title ITS Analyst III- Epic Certified Apps (Instructional designer) Key Functions Coordinates develops and implements the training program for the assigned applications within the Epic electronic medical records system to enable students to become fully competent in using the Epic system to perform their specific job duties. Responsibilities 30% Provides training support during all phases of the Epic implementation including training Credentialed Trainers and providing direct training to end users. Operate in a functional lead capacity for day to day operational needs. 30%Develops detailed workflow-based curriculum content and training support materials. Ensures that training content in course materials is accurate complete and meets the needs of students. Assigns and approves training materials to be completed by subordinate staff. Participates in cross-functional teams to identify and document functional requirements workflows and policies that help determine the training curriculum and content by role. Maintains adequate and appropriate documentation. Conducts training follow-ups and program evaluations and consolidates and reports data to facilitate program improvement. 15% Plans and oversees the day-to-day activities of assigned application training team. 15% Builds tests and maintains the application training environment. 10%Assists Training Supervisor and project teams in establishing and implementing a training strategy and training plans for assigned applications Collaborates with Business partners and the application team to assist in the development and implementation of a training strategy for the assigned application module. Partners with the application teams and other members of the training team to identify and document the analysis of complex workflows. Leads Credentialed Trainers in the completion of training responsibilities. Compiles and reports status of training progress to Training supervisor and others on a weekly basis. Performs related duties as required. Skills and Requirements Bachelor s degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education. Two years of experience in leading teams (3 or more) is required. Experience in implementation and or training of a EHR Revenue Cycle Information System and or working in healthcare operations is preferred. The Epic certification for assigned application must be achieved within 180-days of employment (or within 3 weeks of the last certification class if all classes cannot be scheduled in the first six months). Knowledge of the assigned application area is preferred. Ability to develop customize curricula course content outlines training tools participant materials and related documentation. Knowledge of the concepts standards and practices relating to adult learning continuing education and educational effectiveness preferred. Ability to incorporate adult learning principles into the planning and development of lesson plans and user guides for training classes. Knowledge of approaches tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training programs and evaluating their effectiveness.
