We are adding an Assistant Director of Nursing to our staff who will work under the Director of Nursing as second in command to assist with day-to-day clinical operations and supervision. As the Associate Director of Nursing the incumbent will work with the Director to identify and resolve departmental deficiencies monitor staff adherence to departmental facility Joint Commission OSHA and State Federal standards and guidelines. This position also aids in coordinating nursing services programs within the department reviews staff performance and ensures state standards of quality care are adhered to. Responsibilities Along with the Director of Nursing promote positive employee relations strong customer service ethics and commitment to ongoing staff education and training for new and current employees. Assists in interviewing applicants and recommends hiring of staff and scheduling. Participates in performance reviews enforces the personnel policies of the facility including disciplining and terminating employees. Assists Director of Nursing in ensuring compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing support staff and ensuring that all policies procedures are adhered to at main and designated Satellite clinics. Make rounds at main and Satellite to direct and monitor the work of employees and to observe for hazards work duty problems and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with the vision and standards of the employer. Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement and corrective follow-up actions. Ensures proper infection control techniques are utilized. Participation in designated clinical meetings. Maintains effective communication with patients families employees and outside agencies assists with investigation of complaints from disgruntled patients clinical staff and or external sources in regards to medical clinics. Assist with Triage of patients walking in or calling in to the clinic wanting to be seen. Responsible for coverage of the clinic in the absence of the DON. Participate in coordination of outreach activities (health fairs screenings etc.) Assist in the clinic(s) as needed with direct patient care. Performs other duties as assigned by the DON. Qualifications Current R.N. license by Nebraska State Board of Nursing required. Must have at least three years nursing experience preferably in a community health care setting and one year supervisory experience. Skilled in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide quality nursing service for our patients. Ability to plan and direct the department coordinating with other departments.
