Job Classification Non Exempt Location 1920 S. 20th StreetPhiladelphia PA 19145 Supervisor Computer Lab Supervisor and Center Director Requirements Experience with teaching adult learners Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education High school diploma GED Travel Approximately 0% Position Overview The computer lab assistant instructor is responsible for assisting computer lab attendees with the following online applications for employment instructions on how to use Microsoft Office Suite software applications assistance with internet research facilitate computer literacy classes. Key Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to provide client support and customer service. Be present visible and available to clients requiring technical assistance. Answer questions from clients in computer lab. Research for solutions to questions that you are unfamiliar with. Learn to use the power of Google. Be acquainted with the available help resources and inform supervisor of any technology changes and problems. Computer Lab Assistants are expected to familiarize themselves with new software and hardware applications used in the open computer lab. Complete computer issue ticket sheet for all technical issues and submit to supervisor. Ensure printer in computer lab is loaded with paper Inform supervisor when ink is low for reorder so that there is a constant supply of ink Ensure computer lab is neat and clean at all times Monitor student activities while in computer lab for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning. Prepares documentation (e.g. reports instructions memos etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and or conveying information. Troubleshoots malfunctions of hardware and or software applications for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain computer lab operations. Perform other job duties as assigned. Other Skills Computer Skills MS Office Including WORD EXCEL POWERPOINT PUBLISHER. Other related skills The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and with outside vendors. This position also requires a solid self-directed individual who can excel both independently and as a team player in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. Candidates must be able to complete tasks according to accepted levels of quality. Experience in a growing entrepreneurial company is preferred. To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
