The application deadline for the McConnell Center s 2015 Young Leaders Academy is Friday April 17 2015. Applications are available on-line and may be submitted by email fax or postal mail.Kentucky students grades 9-12 are eligible to apply for the four-day summer residential leadership conference at the University of Louisville (conference dates June 14-17 2015). The McConnell Center offers this annual program to outstanding high school students to help hone their leadership skills and further their understanding of American history.The theme of this year s conference Civil Disobedience The Impact of Protest in U.S. History will consider protest movements in America from the American Revolution to present day.Participants will stay at the University of Louisville under the guidance of McConnell Center staff and university honors students.
