Our main office located in Elkridge MD services the greater Washington DC and Tri-State area. Our second office located in Plainfield NJ serves the New York New Jersey area. As we continue to expand with numerous projects on the horizon we are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our talented team of professionals. We offer excellent salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the design of temporary shoring formwork hoist scaffolding and protection systems. You will analyze equipment loading for existing buildings heavy civil construction and industrial maintenance projects. Other responsibilities of the Engineering role include but not limited to Use computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare documents Prepares calculations drawings and details Follow design codes and standards- IBC ASCE7 AISC ACI NDS etc. Meet with clients to discuss project requirements or designs Other Job Requirements Well organized and skilled at project management. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented setting. Qualified candidates have the structural engineering background necessary to analyze construction and demolition projects and provide the necessary consultation. Other requirements of the Engineering role include BS or MS in Civil or Architectural Engineering with concentration in Structures preferred At least 3 5 years of structural engineering experience Proficiency in AutoCAD RISA Enercalc software Scaffold Hoisting and Shoring knowledge preferred Structural design and analysis experience with steel concrete wood aluminum and masonry Experience in the field onsite a plus
