TELESCOPE - Nautical - Antique 10½" < 32 " Brass

Refurbished functional three draw 20 Power Antique Telescope. Based on the design craftsmanship and materials used this spyglass was most likely built during the early 1900 s by J.H. STEWART based in London. It measures 10 closed 32 extended with Sunshade and Fine Focus Tube extended. Also it has a 2 aperture (at the object end) and weighs 1 pounds. The main tube and sunshade cover have the original leather wrap with both carry strap tie downs intact. All the draw tubes and sunshade adjust OK and yield clear view of objects at a significant distance. The main focus draw tube is signed as follows J.H. STEWARD 406 & 457 STRAND. LONDON NO. 4709 . This unit is rather unique because there is a fourth 2 eyepiece draw tube for adjusting and maintaining a fine focus. This spyglass appears to be complete and is in excellent condition with no obvious damage but does not include a carry strap. Because of the condition and unique design this nautical artifact is a fine example of international maritime history.
