What Full-Time morning farmhand position on 130 cow dairy farm completing morning milkings and daily barn chores.Job Description Morning milking start independently and on time Set-up milk house milk post-milking cleanup Clean the barn by scraping liming and cleaning cow mattresses Push in and spread out feed in mangers by hand Feed grain minerals and hay by hand Keep barn milk house and farm clean and tidy at all times Keep farm and cattle looking clean and organized Occasional calf-care keep an eye on cows health heats and general cow needs Maintain pastures moving cows daily Assist the farm owners with daily operation Miscellaneous labor projects as assigned by farm manager and or ownerDate Position Available ImmediatelyHours 5 30am to 11 30am (most days) 6 days a week with some flexibility for day(s) off. PM milking relief appreciated on occasion. The person you are replacing typically has 40-50 hours week.Compensation This position starts at 12 hour permitted you fully meet qualifications and prove your commitment and work ethic during a trial period with us.Requirements -17 or older-Valid Driver s License-Employment Verification (SSN Work Visa etc)-Must have reliable transportation-Must pass a background check-Must provide work references including at least one previous supervisor-Must speak and write in American English proficientlyThe Right Candidate Interested applicants need some dairy experience but will also need to adjust to our farming methods. The right candidate should be enthusiastic a team player intelligent independent punctual reliable hard-working and an active listener. You must have an appreciation for cows and enjoy working with cattle since you ll spend a lot of time with our girls.
