The Amelia Island Club offers three distinct dining venues with revenues of approximately 3M. Position Facilities Manager Reports to General Manager Job Summary This position is responsible for but not limited to full upkeep and proper operation of all the utilities electrical mechanical plumbing HVAC kitchen refrigeration lighting systems and compliance with city state and or federal code compliance. Will oversee all facility maintenance services to keep the club functioning at top efficiency. Select train and supervise the Maintenance staff. Job Knowledge Core Competencies and Expectations Knowledgeable in all facets of facility maintenance to include kitchen equipment and fire hood systems. HVAC experience & EPA certified Carpentry plumbing and electrical skills Minimum 3 years facility management experience preferred or equivalent 8-10years industry experience Job Tasks Duties The hands-on position will require management and execution of maintenance and small capital work with the use of in-house staff and subcontractors The facilities to manage include the Ocean Club building grounds and pool the Long Point Club House and Pro Shop including upstairs offices cart barn and adjacent small buildings Breadth of the work includes all equipment HVAC electrical and plumbing as well as physical structures. Responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of the maintenance staff Develop and manage a maintenance budget Develop and adapt a preventive maintenance program with the intent of reducing emergency repairs at high cost and lose of use of facilities at critical times Evaluate negotiate pricing and make recommendations for selection suppliers engineers architects and sub-contractors Suggest cost-saving alternatives applicable to maintenance and engineering responsibilities Maintain up to date inventories of repair and maintenance supplies Review work orders and assign work by priorities Schedule or respond to maintenance requests from club managers or employees Procure parts and items needed for maintenance completion of work orders and general department supplies Coordinate work with contractors and coordinate the execution of any work required. Serve as a liaison between club and regulatory agencies including health and safety inspections and city building department. Schedule and make sure all necessary inspections take place and action is taken regarding any violations or requirements by such agencies Schedule hours of work for department staff Direct activities of associates with strong emphasis placed on employee training and development Complete other appropriate tasks assigned by the general manager Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift Required to stand for long periods and walk climb stairs climb ladder balance stoop kneel crouch bend stretch and twist or reach overhead. Push pull or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in cold hot humid and noisy environment. Flexible schedules to include long hours weekends and holidays.
