I am offering a refurbished four dog Antique Cast Brass Porthole without the hinged door. Based on the quality materials used and machine work (not metric) it was most likely built in the U.S. during the early 1900 s. The main housing measures 23 x 2 with a 2 protrusion (lip). The diameter of the opening is 18 the gasket slot is 19 and the hinge nubs have a 2 opening. Also the four original swivel dog assemblies are mounted 21 across the center. It appears that the missing door was 20 in diameter. This 50 pound nautical artifact a great example of U.S. maritime history.
