Looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker About the company DuBois Design Group prides itself in designing manufacturing and installing the most elegant unique high end cabinetry and furniture in the area. We specialize in kitchens offices entertainment centers and custom furniture for residential and commercial applications however no project is too large too unique or out of reach for DDG. Located in South Amboy NJ is a small cabinet shop of about 10 employees each with 25 years of experience in their particular field. Keeping a well oiled shop furnished with nothing but a few hard-working motivated and extremely experienced individuals is how DDG is able to keep quality higher than any other company in the area and in our eyes it s the only way. Job Description For this position we are looking for an experienced journeyman cabinet maker to join a small high quality work environment. Typical of this position you will have to translate shop drawings plans and specifications to create custom cabinetry and furniture out of various raw materials such as sheet goods lumber laminates moldings etc. In most cases you will be contributing to nearly all aspects of the project including but not limited to design fabrication process finishing process delivery and installation. Required Qualifications and Skills 15 years of experience in the field of cabinetmaking Experience in reading and translating hand drawn and computer generated shop drawings plans specifications etc. Experience with various woodworking machinery including but not limited to table saws panel saws drum sanders planers jointers routers shapers line borers hinge machines and other specialty machinery. Experience operating computer controlled and automated machinery including but limited to edgebanders CNC routers etc. Experience using hand tools where finesse cannot be compromised and results cannot be achieved with the use of power tools. Experience using common technology such as computers copiers fax machines etc. Experience working in a high pace high quality motivated and friendly work environment. Flexible work schedule in order to meet deadlines and account for peak workloads including working early late and on weekends. Ability to work as efficiently as possible independently and as a part of a team. Ability to speak read and write English fluently with excellent communication skills. Optional Requirements Experience and skill in management in a manufacturing environment. Experience maintaining and repairing woodworking tools and machinery. Experience maintaining repairing or programming computer controlled and automated woodworking machinery.
