Premier CPA firm in Woburn specializing in Healthcare Professionals is seeking an experienced Staff Tax Accountant to join their growing firm. The primary responsibilities include Preparation of annual corporate and partnership tax returns Conduct 1040 client meetings (in office and by phone) to organize and review their tax documents Review and finalize 1040 tax return preparation Prepare tax projections following non-tax season client meetings Respond to client inquiries in timely and professional manner according to firm policies Review respond and resolve any IRS or state notices relating to clients Assist with additional tax audit and accounting projects as delegated by partners Qualifications Qualified candidates must have at least 2-4 years of experience preparing individual 1040 and entity tax returns financial statements and or general accounting experience required. CPA preferred or IRS Enrolled Agent designation required. Bachelors degree in Accounting Taxation or Finance. Background in preparing entity tax returns and 1040 tax returns necessary. Familiarity with year-end tax documents such as K1s required. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently a necessity. Demonstrated experience working with tax software specifically UltraTax beneficial. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks software. Demonstrated ability to deliver prompt exceptional and professional client service. Schedule Tax season (January-April 15) 6 days week approx. 60 hrs week Non-tax season April16-Nov. 4 days week December 5 days week Salary and benefits Negotiable and dependent upon experience This position qualifies for our benefit programs after reaching specific benefit program milestones of length of employment.
