Job Summary Responsible for timely monthly journal entries and reconciliations of all assigned cash and bank accounts. Works closely with Business office and IT to identify cash posting and system errors and implement corrections. Responsible for processing weekly AP check runs and ensuring proper distribution of checks. Prepare miscellaneous deposits and or miscellaneous accounts receivable payments as assigned. Responsibilities Duties Customer Service Standards Prepare accurate monthly journal entries related to cash and other assigned accounts monthly. Timely monthly reconciliation of assigned cash accounts including identifying reconciling items and working with other departments as needed to correct within 30 days. Utilize EPIC reports to identify missing cash postings errors and inter-company mistakes and work with Business Office to correct patient postings. Analyze system errors for corrective actions. Maintain adequate documentation for cash subledgers and activities. Assist accountant with cash reporting and forecasting as requested. Process weekly AP check runs timely including obtaining required signatures for large checks. Ensure checks are distributed timely following internal controls for safekeeping. Process daily electronic AP payment files and ensure posting reconciliation with financial institution. Prepare daily deposits for miscellaneous receivables obtaining proper coding and following internal control procedures. Process monthly payment transactions for Lifeline or other assigned AR timely and accurately and process monthly statements. Provide requested information & documentation for annual audit timely. Assist with other projects as assigned.
