LANTERN - Nautical - Large USN Anchor - 22" TinBrass - 110V

Refurbished early 1900 s USN Anchor Lantern. Based on the design craftsmanship and materials used it appears to be U.S built during the early 1900 s for use on a large vessel. Lanterns of this type were usually mounted high on the main mast to indicate that they were Anchored Under Command. This galvanized tin steel and brass lantern measures 22 tall x 11 in diameter and weighs 15 pounds. There is an old tag still attached that reads 61970 US NAVY PROPERTY 000330 .It has a 7 Tall x 8 Diameter 360 dioptric (ribbed) clear glass lens which has turned hazy over the years. The lens is embossed PG CO four times around the center Also the original base holding the oil font assembly is missing. A wood base has been added which has a 110 volt lighting fixture including the bulb cord and in-line switch.
