IT Support Specialist (Facilities Services)

If you have a proven track record in providing IT support desk services with a knack for working with people - this may be the job for you New Full Time career opportunities Click link to Apply online Job Skills Requirements The successful candidate will have both proven IT Helpdesk and or IT Support experience and the ability to work well with a wide variety of users. In this role the ability to communicate well and professionally is equal to the IT support expertise. Understand and utilize standards and procedures for the support maintenance and installation of networked devices that support voice data and video infrastructure. Build update and deploy computer images perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot various computer hardware and software applications. Coordinate and provide support for both on-site and remote users for voice data networked and mobile devices and applications. Maintain inventory of IT hardware (i.e. laptops mobile devices Mifi etc.). Work with team members to ensure the security and the integrity of stored data and information (which includes laptops and mobile devices) Position requires a strong commitment to customer service as well as the skills to prioritize among a number of competing duties and tasks. The capability of communicating technical concepts in non-technical terms is a must. Position is considered one of the primary points of communications between Technology Solutions and the other departments. Establishing and fostering a positive working relationship with Cabinet members and Staff is essential. Routinely handles confidential sensitive information. Information shared in the course of troubleshooting an issue or working with employee accounts requires a degree of trust and the ability to determine and or recommend a course of action. Decisions are routinely made that affect the professionalism of the Technology Solutions department. Minimum Qualifications - Combination of education training and related experience which allows one to complete tasks listed in the job description - A background that reflects some on the job training or coursework in a computer science management information system or a related field - Good attitude willingness to learn and the flexibility to handle varied priorities - Good verbal and written communication skills ability to work in a friendly and helpful way with users - Some experience installing operating and maintaining a variety of computer hardware and software Applicants should be well versed with Microsoft products Windows OS Office Outlook Lync.
