Bilingual Optician (Spanish English) Experienced Compensation Commensurate with experience A busy fast paced Optometry Ophthalmology practice is seeking an experienced Optician to support our growing team. The candidate for this position should be able to interpret prescriptions measure eyes and properly dispense frames and contacts. You will work with ophthalmologist and optometrists. Must be able to multi task. Should have a friendly and outgoing personality. Must be familiar with EyeMed VSP Davis Vision and other vision plans. Must be able to accurately input data into our computer system and check eligibility. Will be required to do inventory monthly. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following skills Bilingual Excellent Customer service skills Cutting and edging experience Strong team player ABO Certification (preferred but not mandatory) Taking eye and facial measurements to correctly interpret prescriptions Guiding patients when selecting frames for proper fit and styling Inserting removing and caring for contact lenses Advising patients on any necessary repairs or adjustments Maintaining displays Basic bookkeeping duties associated with tracking patient s orders and recording purchases and other necessary information for each patient Preparing work order for optical laboratory Working with sales professionals from vision care suppliers Ensuring that all orders arrive and are to the specifications of the patient Interested candidates can send resume to joy(at)visionsalon.com & tangee(at)visionsalon.com Use subject line Bilingual Optician.
