My client is well-established bank located in Downtown Toronto. They are looking position for a Bilingual Insurance Customer Service (Retention Specialist) to work on a long term contract assignment with the possibility of transitioning to perm. Bilingual Insurance Customer Service (Retention Specialist) Work Hours hours may be flexible between 8 00am and 8 00pm (37.5 hours per week) LOB Insurance Job Description This position involves the following responsibilities and they will train for each. Training is approx. 4 months before candidate will start on the phones. - The CSR will answer calls from prospects regarding product information calls from clients making inquiries and change requests to current policies and calls from beneficiaries making claims against policies. The CSR will be scheduled to be on the phone for 5 hours of each day. This is broken up to 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Policy owner administration - they will complete administrative duties (eg. letters to clients changes to policies on our system). Other administrative tasks as assigned.Daily Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls from clients who want to cancel their life accident or health insurance policies using script guidelines to advise the client of alternatives to cancellation and to reiterate the benefits of the policy. Call policyholders who had a premium payment returned and arrange for payment Call clients who have applied for a new policy and welcoming them to the company. At the same time advising them of additional benefits and coverage that they are entitled to and administering any requests that they may have in that regard. Process cancellations policy surrenders policy upgrades coverage changes Perform defined policy administration tasks and submit for approval as required Create and maintain computer records on all systems to ensure accuracy of client information Process NUMS records relating to the Communication Log and Outbound Telemarketing Enter prospect data to NUMS Must Have Skills Excellent Communication skills in both English and French (Oral and Written) Strong customer service experience in a corporate environment either facing clients or over the phone Strong organizational skills Detail Oriented Assets Experience Knowledge of life insurance industry would be an asset. Call center experience would be an asset Manager s Notes Must be able to speak clearly as there will be a lot of phone work. Must be comfortable speaking with clients over the phone. Must have computer experience although no specific program knowledge is necessary. We will train. Excellent Customer Service skills written and verbal communication skills organizational skills and attention to detail. 2 years experience in a call center preferred.
