LANTERN - Nautical - Starboard Navagation - 7½" BrassT

I am offering an Original (not a repo) Starboard Navigation Lantern. Based on the design quality and materials used it was likely built in the 1940 s by the prolific Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corp (PERKO) based in Brooklyn. It measures 7 tall (with the bale down) x 7 wide x 6 deep and weighs 3 pounds. The brass has been polished and clear coated while the galvanized tin has been painted dark green and antiqued. Included are the original electric lighting fixture and oil font. Also included is a power cord with in-line switch The green (turned blue) ribbed door glass lens appears to be original and in near perfect condition. The Perko Company information is engraved or embossed on the face of the brass burner adjusting knob as well as on the trade mark tag still affixed to the mounting bracket. The top of body has a 2 thumb shaped dent but overall the condition is very nice considering its advanced age. Someone has spent a lot of time and effort refurbishing this nautical artifact which makes it an exceptional piece of U.S. Maritime history.
