FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER MAJOR FUNCTION Drive deliver and set-up merchandise at customers homes.FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER SPECIFIC DUTIES Delivery and set-up of furniture in customer s home and complete all paperwork involved. Help with work orders as part of daily delivery route. Help loading trucks. Responsible for the condition of truck and to write daily truck maintenance reports. Supervises work of Delivery Helper. Inspect and touch up merchandise prior to loading. Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Work in a team environment to ensure the proper and complete delivery and set-up of furniture.Job RequirementsFURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER REQUIREMENTS Must have driver s license (non-CDL) C or above Must be able to drive manual transmission trucks Must be DOT qualified and keep all licenses and other required documents current. Must be able to read maps and follow oral and written instructions. Heavy lifting required up to 100 pounds. May be required to carry heavy merchandise up stairs. Must wear uniform and maintain personal appearance by following Ashley s dress code requirements. Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with Ashley s policy. Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to work 6 days a week. Subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Delivery or warehouse experience preferred. Inspection of each piece of furniture before delivery of item into customer s home. Turning in the vehicle inspection report along with all fuel receipts at the end of the day
