Nationwide Security firm hiring full-time Armed Professional Experienced Unarmed Uniformed Protection Officers in Chicago Illinois.Please apply with a resume and cover letter.Hours Shifts May be required to work irregular hours holidays weekends call-out and overtime. May be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time. May be required to work in varying weather conditions. Duties and Responsibilities of the Job (This overview is not intended to be all inclusive) Assesses security needs and controls employee and visitor access to buildings and property ensuring only authorized entry and arrival at their predetermined destination. Receives visitors and employees in order to provide assistance. Monitors and controls all fire and security alarms access control systems and visitor management systems and notifies appropriate personnel agencies for emergencies or service maintenance. Operates and maintains data in computerized access systems in order to authorize appropriate access level for entry into facilities. Patrols buildings and grounds responds to and reports emergencies unusual incidents or occurrences in order to minimize or deter the development of hazardous or dangerous situations. Monitors and operates multiple CCTV monitors and video surveillance systems in order to record activities and retrieve video records at varied locations from a central location station. Maintains lock and key logs records to include collecting and issuing locks and keys. Logs and issues Company vehicles use and fuel cards use by employees. Documents information about unusual incidents establishes creates updates and maintains manual and automated filing systems and controls access to confidential information. Operates two-way communications system in order to remain in constant contact with other security and company personnel. Screens and logs hand-delivered envelopes and packages in order to inspect for hazards. Maintains annual proficiency in the use of assigned required weapons and equipment. Provides training to new security personnel and attends job-related training to learn new skills and improve individual level of competence. Conducts safety and security inspections and evacuation drills of assigned facilities. Provides crowd traffic control and administers First Aid as needed. Act as a visible deterrent to criminal activity. Provide a secure problem free environment to ensure a smooth running operation. Ensure the safety of the public and employees at all times. Report all security related occurrences. Equivalent Must have a valid Driver s License minimum Class D Endorsement required Must have dependable vehicle Physically fit to perform the duties of the position Full time officers must be able to work rotating shifts Part time officers must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week No criminal conviction - Including conditional discharges or Court Supervision No more than two minor traffic violations in the past three years No convictions for DUI (Driving Under the Influence) or DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) Must be able to Read and Write in English fluently Must have completed State Required Fingerprinting Preferred Requirements State 20 hours Unarmed or 40 hour Armed Certificate or State equivalent Training Certifications in Monadnock Defensive Tactics Systems Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training Pressure Point Control Tactics Monadnock Expandable Baton or PR-24 Associates Degree or Bachelor s Degree in Criminal Justice Business or related field Minimum three to five years of verifiable work history or 2 or more years Military Service with honorable discharge (copy of DD214 required) Successfully completed a certified police correction or federal law enforcement academy Certified Reserve or Auxiliary police officer Three or more years of security experience with a reputable firm Successfully completed a 300 hours Security Training Program Certified Emergency Medical Technician or Fire Fighter
