Accounting and Payroll Associate for Milio s Sandwiches

Milio s Sandwiches is a regional chain of gourmet sub and sandwich shops. Milio s is looking for help in their Accounting department for an Accounting & Payroll Associate. Position Summary The Accounting & Payroll Associate records financial information and accounting activities for the Company. S He compiles and classifies financial information working within internal controls and assuring the Company is in compliance with GAAP requirements and best practices. S He contributes to the business planning process by compiling data and providing analysis and reports. S He analyzes timecard and personal data corrects any errors or discrepancies and processes bi-weekly payroll. Essential Responsibilities Performs regular general ledger and period end closing responsibilities including but not limited to journal entries review of expenses accruals allocations etc. Assist with cash flow planning Assists with the coordination of work requirements for external audits Assist with financial policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are in place Assists with the Proliant payroll process Prepares sales tax filings for multiple states Ensure compliance of reporting requirements for private licensing or regulatory agencies Maintain negotiated contracts Backup for receptionist where needed Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers Works the amount of time required for the position and works extra hours as needed. Education Experience Requirement BA BS degree in Accounting or equivalent 3 years experience in an accounting or payroll role Previous experience with GL A P A R & payroll a plus Or additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources Knowledge Skills and Abilities Ability to manage and process large amounts of data Possess strong analytical skills and thought process at a high level Confidence to offer ideas and solutions that are creative and cost effective Ability to multitask prioritize and work accurately while meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality Highly organized and focused Skilled in software programs such as MS Excel Word and Access. Previous experience in MAS90 a plus Ability to execute basic accounting functions as well as move projects forward Skilled at working with people one-on-one and in team settings Self-motivated and able to plan daily workload Detail oriented with ability to stay task focused for long periods of time Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Ability to read write and speak English To apply please visit our website www.milios.com jobs to fill out an application.
