Job Title Income Tax Preparer Job Description This position requires the ability to work on information of a sensitive highly confidential nature and deals with diverse clients on tax preparation matters. Responsibilities 1. Greets all customers in a friendly yet professional manner and makes customers feel welcomed and comfortable. 2. Completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies and in compliance with legislations and regulations. 3. Audits all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e. client signatures). 4. Researches tax related questions and issues and responds to clients appropriately and within a timely manner. 5. Resolves clients complaints or refers situations to supervisor (as appropriate) for resolution. 6. Conducts a thorough in-person interview with potential clients using the company s propriety tax software application. 7. Maintains the company brand and image and keeps work area neat and clean. 8. Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins in order to determine procedures for preparation of typical tax returns. 9. Participate in marketing agendas and programs. 10. Performs other duties as required.
