Points amount to approximatley 14 days of vacationing. Points renew every January 1st. Example when I book a stay in Las Vegas. I call request a 2 bedroom suit that sleeps 6 and to arrive Friday and stay till Sunday. So that is 2 nights with 6 people. Since I booked on a weekend and for a 2 bedroom the total points used usually amount to 5 000 points. But if I had only booked a 1 bedroom suit for 4 people it would come out to 4 000 points. If I had booked on different days like wednesday through Friday it would come out to 3 000 ponts for the 2 bedroom and even less for the 1 bedroom. Also during times where I did not use my timeshare because I was busy I would rent it out to my co-workers friends or strangers. This made me about 1 200 every point cycle because I would rent it out for a bargain. But if you were to rent it out on a web site to complete strangers you can charge more and make about 2 000 every point cycle.
