SUMMARY Management Business Solutions (MBS) is actively seeking a 1st shift Tool and Die Maker in Grand Rapids MI for our client in the manufacturing industry. The Model Maker will be responsible for creating three-dimensional representations of a design or concept using the techniques and skills needed in the areas of metal fabrication welding precision machining woodworking and soft trim.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Work with precision with all types of material ie. metals wood and plastic. Ability to operate machine tools weld metal fabrication and wood working equipment. Ability to interpret and work from sketches blueprints verbal instruction with minimal supervision. Perform the tasks needed to repair dies including clean components change out cracked or damaged tooling Perform parts layout work. Execute safety procedures and follow company procedures. Participate in lean initiatives such as continuous improvement events. Develop tools and fixtures to produce desired results. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent combined education and experience required. A minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing industrial environment required. Tool and Die experience or related skills preferred. Journeymen card highly preferred. Uses precision measuring instruments. Competent in basic math reading detail drawings and Microsoft Office.
