Brown Advisory is currently seeking a Systems Engineer who will be part of a dynamic Infrastructure team and will be primarily responsible for 200 windows physical and virtual servers including Exchange 2013 SQL Server 2005 2008 and 2012 Citrix XenApp Environment several Microsoft Clusters Enterprise Storage systems and the enterprise Disaster Recovery systems. Duties and Responsibilities The Systems Engineer will Design maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory group policies login scripts DNS and DHCP Assist the Database Administrator and Network Administrator in developing and implementing plans for new enterprise applications Support existing Windows and Linux systems Assist in end user support Mentor the Help Desk staff Job Requirements 4 years of experience as a Systems Engineer preferred Bachelor s degree Proven analytical and problem solving abilities Technical Skills Primary design and support for an Enterprise Linux RedHat System Windows 2003. 2008 and 2012 OS installation monitor and support MSCS design implementation and maintenance (Windows 2008 and 2012 Exchange and SQL) Experience in virtualization VMware or Hyper-V Enterprise backup design installation and maintenance Active Directory experience DNS DHCP Sites Knowledge of networking VLAN Designing and implementing and testing Windows Group Policies and login scripts Experience with ISCSI and Fiber SANs Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2007 installation support and maintenance Powershell scripting experience Data center support knowledge (HVAC Power monitoring software) LYNC 2010 Server experience SharePoint 2010 Infrastructure experience Experience in Webfilter software ability to assist in IT audits and legal discovery Project management skills Annual Disaster recovery testing XenApp and Citrix Access Gateway expertise On-Call after-hours support of the Enterprise environment Personal Attributes Positive attitude Time management and prioritization skills Excellent organization and communication skills Vendor management skills Ability to write and follow technical documentation Big picture focused Detail oriented Benefits At Brown Advisory we offer a competitive compensation package including comprehensive benefits.
