Must Live Within 70 Miles of Zip Code 02903 Must Speak & Write English Fluently As a truck driver with this company assisting with our Amazon account you will be driving in primarily the Northeast region of the U.S. with most loads staying north of Baltimore MD. You will typically be home every other day with the option to flex to some local runs (getting you home daily) when needed. The best part is that this company offers a minimum guaranteed pay per day no matter how many miles you drive As a local truck driver with this company on the Amazon account you will be operating a commercial motor vehicle to transport freight in inter & intrasstate commerce between various customer terminals and relay stations and or distant points and returning. Duties Inspect vehicle & required parts and accessorties to determine safe operation condition prior to departure Maintain a clean & neat work environment within the tractor trailer - clean both as needed (additional compensation included) Check shipping documents to determine the nature of a load and any special requirements and or hazards involved in moving the shipment Check all loads for securement and safety Operate the vehicle in compliance with company rules and all applicable state & federal laws regulations and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving Deliver freight in a safe efficient & timely manner from all shippers & customers Pick-up freight as required in a safe efficient & timely manner from all shippers & customers Load & unload freight from tractor trailer if required (additional compensation included) Collect all freight charges & documents as instructed and communicate them to dispatch in a timely manner Delivering multiple empty trailers and or making small yard moves similar to local yard jockey work may be required at times Sample Run Pickup load in Fall River MA Windsor CT etc Deliver load to a facility in NJ or PA Possibly pick up empty trailer in NJ PA and deliver to another facility in NJ PA Take 10-hr reset IN THE TRUCK (Layover) Pickup load in NJ PA Deliver to CT MA Possibly pick up empty trailer and deliver to CT MA Tour over The following are additional duties required of all Class-A OTR drivers working with this company in order to remain compliant with all state & federal (FMCSA) regulations regarding the safe and compliant operation of a Class-A commercial vehicle as well company policies Report all accidents & incidents of equipment damage involving driver or company equipment in a timely manner Maintain trip records as required Maintain compliance with state & federal regulations including driver s logs records of fuel purchases mileage records etc Proper use and care of all equipment assigned for the performance of all duties Report promptly any delays that will affect any pick-up or delivery appointment. This includes communicating on a regular basis with dispatch regarding any and all issues while on the road Communicate any discrepancies with Amazon staff personnel regarding load schedules & trailer assignments at Amazon facilities in a timely manner to dispatch Purchase additional materials needed for job responsibilities as needed while on the road (at the expense of the company and only with prior approval) Utilize all required technology pertaining to individual customer & company requirements (i.e. Android or IPhone apps) Correctly and accurately utilize the Amazon application supplied via your company tablet The following are the minimum requirements needed of any drivers potential candidates to be considered for the above mentioned position All Company Class-A drivers must adhere to 49 CFR 391.41 FMCSA regulations (where if applicable) Drivers must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a tractor trailer Drivers must be able to walk bend reach push pull stoop squat & climb as necessary to perform vehicle inspections and other regulatory tasks required by state & federal organizations Valid Class-A Commercial Driver s License (CDL) Doubles Triples endorsement required prior to or immediately after hire Prior doubles triples experience is preferred Valid medical certificate as administered by an approved certified medical examiner recognized by the FMCSA (national registry) 1 Year (12 Months) of Verifiable Class-A Tractor Trailer Experience
