Vanguard Presents Searching for Solutions and Redefining our Nar
Come listen and speak with with young African American men as they address and offer solutions to the biggest issues facing them in their pursuit for equity justice and higher education. This gathering will be unique in that it will not be your typical conference with a keynote speaker and workshops. For this event we are asking African American young men and adults (who are interested) to come prepared to deliver a two minute Ted Talks style presentation on a problem facing the African American community. This talk must also offer up a solution or ways they can or will use their education talents passions and expertise to address and combat the problem. After these Vanguard Talks are presented we will have parents allies and all other attendees break into small groups to discuss these talks and offer up ways they can support or ofer guidance and resources to address the issues that were presented....
