This 4-hour course presented by Boston-based illustrator and designer Natalya Zahn will introduce students to basic print and pattern design fundamentals. The 1st portion of the class will be lecture-based covering traditional pattern types design vocabulary and methods of repeating imagery. For the 2nd portion we ll move into a cut and paste studio format and using the flora of THBG as inspiration we ll experiment with creating our own simple square and half-drop repeating patterns.
