We are currently looking for OTR drivers only looking to hire as soon as possible Job Responsibilities 1) Pickup and deliver goods as required. 2) Check fuel and oil levels in trucks before loading goods. 3) Inspect trucks to ensure working conditions of brakes lights wipers windshield fire extinguisher flares and other safety equipments in the truck. 4) Overall maintenance of truck and regular servicing of vehicle. 5) Ensure that cargo is well secured. 6) Maintain record of goods and freight loaded and unloaded. 7) Report any equipment in the truck inoperable or missing. 8) Inspect freight and vehicle for compliance with regulations. 9) Long distance truck drivers are required to use GPS to stay connected with company headquarters. 10) Maintain a log of activities condition of the vehicle and any cases of accidents. 11) At the end of journey handover records of deliveries receipts payments mechanical problems etc. Knowledge and Skills 1) Competent driving skills. 2) Should be able to read and speak English. 3) Knowledge of vehicle and all its parts. 4) Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs. 5) Skill to maneuver large vehicles on highways and traffic routes. 6) Knowledge and understanding of GPS. 7) Knowledge of state transport regulations Educational Qualification and Experience 1) High school educated or equivalent. 2) Commercial vehicle drivers should be 25 years of age. 3) A state-issued Class A CDL 4) A comfort level with being away from home while sitting for long periods of time 5) Good customer service and communication skills for interacting with clients and suppliers 6) A clean motor vehicle history and a driving record in good standing.
