JOB SUMMARY A Furniture Repair Technician (In-House) is responsible for repairing and refinishing furniture at the Distribution Center. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect all assembled product in run lane for delivery Restore product to like new condition using proven techniques including refinishing re-upholstery painting etc. Repair damaged stock and customer product as scheduled by supervisor Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules Document and complete service reports and paperwork including inventory control information. Support Product Quality Supervisor in completion of PIT Attend training on furniture repair topics. Inspect and validate of repair parts. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES Able to communicate effectively Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer program EDUCATION TRAINING High School Diploma required 1 year practical work experience in furniture repair including upholstery leather repairs and wood refinishing PHYSICAL DEMANDS CONDITIONS Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs. Prolonged standing bending and walking. Able to conduct work in warm and cold conditions Some exposure to solvents
