Berklee College of Music honors graduate with over a decade of private teaching experience offering in studio or in-home private instruction for guitar and bass. Also teaching advanced improvisation concepts and music theory for guitar and bass. My teaching methods are designed to cultivate professional-level musicianship in students building performance skills composition and to help the student make and achieve goals week after week. Some areas of study include -song analysis and transcription -composition -Ear training (intervals harmonic analysis melodic and harmonic dictation) -Reading and writing standard notation. -Chord scale theory -Melodic development in improvisation -Solo analysis -Developing time-feel and phrasing In addition to teaching from the student s favorite songs I can provide the tools necessary for the student to transcribe understand and play what they hear. This method of study is tailored to any genre-specific interests of the student. I have availability on Mondays and Wednesdays in Hamburg and Saturday afternoons at Planet Music School on Hertel Ave. Lessons are 30-60 minutes in length. Limited in-home lesson times are also available. It is a pleasure to speak of my son s experience with Nick as his guitar instructor. Nick has been teaching guitar to my son for about two years.
