Join us to discover The Shipley Art Carousel s history and collections and enjoy a tour of some of its highlights. Subjects include the building itself Joseph Shipley and his collection Tintoretto the design and craft collection and Henry Rothschild and his ceramics gift. This popular tour is delivered by John Thompson who is former Director of Tyne & Wear Museums. Previously John was curatorial assistant at Whitworth and City Art Carousel Manchester and Director of Arts and Museums Bradford.Tours last approx 45 minutes. Portable seats are available.Afterwards there will be tea coffee and cake and the chance to look around the exhibitions at your leisure. 4 per person (includes refreshments)....
